Memorial Day Fun

Better late than never... I have been meaning to post our Memorial Day fun but with the week events it has been hard to find time to sit down to do it.
Eric surprisingly got the day off. We took the kids to Franklin Bridge Park which has recently been redone and was SO great. They have miniture golf, a Merry Go Round, sand sculptures, a fountain, and an awesome fenced in play area. One side is for little kids and the the other side is for bigger kids like Jacob. Really a fun place to go. The kids had a blast. I think the best part about the day was just being together as a family. Each moment we get together we just cherish since there are so few lately.

The Merry Go Round was pricey but we splurged and let the kids go once. They thought it was the greatest thing on earth (we need to get them to Disneyland or hopfully Lagoon this summer). They were begging and begging to go again but our pocket books just don't allow at this time. Sorry kids.... maybe someday.

We are watching the balloon man make hats for the boys and a flower for Ruby Jane.

We met the Iverson family there for a bit. They have two girls. They are in Eric's residency and are in our ward. The kids really get along with one another. We came home and put the girls down for a nap while the rest of us watched a movie together and then we went swimming at the Iverson's pool and had a BBQ back at our place. What a fun, eventful day. I wish Eric had every Monday off- wouldn't that be nice.
